GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Hart & Cooley Inc., a business unit of Johnson Controls’ Building Technologies & Solutions, announced the appointment of Michael Braun as vice president — wholesale channel. In his new role, Braun is responsible for sales and customer service support for Hart & Cooley’s wholesale business.

Braun brings more than 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry to his position, including his most recent work as director of marketing at Gustave A. Larson. His broad range of perspective includes senior leadership roles in wholesale sales and marketing at both the distributor and contractor levels.

“I’m excited to be working for a company with such a strong tradition of service to the HVAC industry,” said Braun. “As the New Year begins, I’m ready to hit the ground running with plans to strengthen our business and channel relationships.” Braun will focus on ensuring that Hart & Cooley customers receive exceptional customer service including customer claims management, communication, and customer service satisfaction improvement.

Braun holds a Master of Administration degree from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin — Madison. He served as captain in the U.S. Army and currently co-chairs the Impact Committee of Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI).
