Service Experts to be Acquired by Enercare
Acquisition would give Enercare access to the U.S. HVAC services market
PLANO, Texas — Canadian home and commercial services company Enercare Inc., Toronto, is reported to have entered into an agreement to acquire Service Experts, a U.S. provider of HVAC services based in Plano, Texas. The purchase price is said to be $340.75 million.
Service Experts is currently owned by American Capital, Bethesda, Md., which acquired the company in 2013.
Founded in 1996, Service Experts is a provider of residential and commercial HVAC service and repairs along with IAQ, plumbing, and home energy solutions in 29 states in the United States as well as three Canadian provinces. Service Experts is one of North America’s largest heating and air conditioning contracting companies with 90 locations.
The acquisition would give Enercare access to the U.S. HVAC services market and also allow the company to introduce its rental products and service offerings to Service Experts' customers.
The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2016, subject to customary closing conditions in the United States and Canada.
