Why He’s Tech of the Month: Zindani consistently provides over-the-top customer service and is known for creating “raving fans” who call into the office, write notes, and post positive reviews online praising his customer service abilities.

“The tone from the customers is actually profuse, almost to the point that [it sounds] fabricated,” said Dave Knight, service manager at Thornton and Grooms. “Almost every customer [he assists] asks us to update their accounts so Yusef is their technician the next time they need service.”

Knight said Zindani is a true professional who always has a smile on his face. Zindani, who has been a residential HVAC service technician with Thornton and Grooms for two years, said he simply enjoys his job.

“I really like my career,” he said. “I always say I wish I’d gotten into this field earlier.”

Zindani’s technical skills are equally as impressive as his customer service skills. One customer who recently reviewed his service call on Google said Zindani “solved a three-year-old ‘mysterious’ noise coming from my furnace,” which now “purrs like a kitten.”

Zindani said he simply tries to be honest and strives to provide customers with the best service possible. Eventually, he said, his goal “is to be promoted within the company, move up in the ranks, and create raving fans and customers for life.”

“Yusef truly believes it’s his honor to serve people,” Knight said. “He’s always working at making today better than yesterday and tomorrow better than today. With his attitude, passion, and work ethic, the sky is the limit for Yusef.”
