KENNESAW, Ga. — Packard Inc., a Georgia-based HVACR master distributor, announced it will open a 42,000-square-foot Midwest distribution center in Indianapolis on Sept. 1.

The company said the new warehouse will stock inventory from its 10,000+ product list, provide shorter lead times, and help meet the heavy stock-order demands from its wholesale customers in the Midwest region. The distribution center will also feature a customer pick-up area, providing wholesalers in or around the metro Indianapolis area an option to pick up their order.

“The Indianapolis distribution center will be a huge asset to our Midwest wholesalers. They’ll have access to our diverse and comprehensive HVACR inventory, will receive product faster, and get the expertise and trust that comes with Packard,” said Bill Snyder, Midwest Regional sales manager for Packard, who oversees sales in the Indianapolis area.

Packard’s Indianapolis distribution center is located at 2570 North Shadeland Ave., Suite 103, Indianapolis, IN 46219. Hours of operation will be Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“Our team is very excited about this new opportunity. Packard’s expansion into the Midwest reflects the overall commitment to our customers and their needs. It will carry Packard one step closer to our goal of becoming the preferred master distributor of choice for HVACR motors, parts, and accessories,” said Dan Lauterhahn, vice president of sales and marketing for Packard.

A grand opening event will be held on Oct. 28, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature products from top industry manufacturers, training from Packard Academy, food and drinks, giveaways, and a grand prize raffle.
