The NEWS is once again pleased to honor the winners of its annual “Best Contractor to Work For” contest, recognizing four contractors in four different regions of the U.S. for their efforts in making their workplaces not only areas where customer service is great, but places for employees to thrive and grow — places where a job is more than a job, it’s a career.

Conditioned Air Corp. (Naples, Fla.), South region winner, offers a wide variety of employee perk programs, and has Conditioned Air University, where installers and technicians can learn more about the industry with 18 specialized courses.
Logan Services Inc. (Dayton, Ohio), winner of the North-Central region, has a program for the office staff called “Contagious,” which offers team entertainment several times a year.
Jackson & Blanc (San Diego), winner of the West region, provides employee’s lunches and paid days off for excellent performance, among other things, and is big on giving back to the community.
Kennihan Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning (Valencia, Pa.), winner in the East region, is a small business which treats employees like family. The company offers profit sharing and strives to cover all health care costs.
