COURSE TITLE: The Three Hydronic Conditions

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Designed specifically for HVAC consulting engineers, designers, and installing contractors, the seminar provides a variety of practical and theoretical examples to highlight issues faced when designing, commissioning, and maintaining hydronic variable-flow systems. Subjects addressed during the seminar include the sources of imbalance and balancing methods, control loops and control valve authority, variable-speed pumps vs. valve authority, control valve sizing, and differential pressure control. Each attendee will receive a certificate of attendance, and a copy of the reference book Total Hydronic Balancing, by Robert Petitjean. COURSE TITLE: ECM Motors Training

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This four-hour seminar is designed for the entry-level and seasoned service technician. It will provide the technician with a basic understanding of how a variable-speed motor works and how to diagnose and troubleshoot various issues. Topics will include the differences between a motor problem compared to a control circuit problem, utilizing the go-no go method and the solid-state control method. The class will also explore some duct designs and airflow issues that are problematic with today’s duct systems. Technicians earn four North American Technician Excellence CEHs toward all specialties for completing this course and/or two BPI continuing education credits. www.eh-cc.org
