COURSE DESCRIPTION:The seminar is designed for both the entry-level and seasoned service technician. It will provide technicians with a basic understanding of how a variable-speed motor works and how to diagnose and troubleshoot various issues. Topics include the differences between a motor problem compared to a control circuit problem and utilizing the “go or no-go” method and the solid-state control method. The class also will explore some duct designs and airflow issues that are problematic with today’s duct systems. Technicians earn four North American Technician Excellence Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) toward all specialties for completing this course and/or two Building Performance Institute continuing education credits.www.eh-cc.org



COURSE TITLE:International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) Accredited Service & Installation Training

COURSE DESCRIPTION:The course combines factory training in the installation, service, and troubleshooting of ClimateMaster equipment with IGSHPA-certified installers training, including topics such as soil and rock identification and classification; proper loop options, design, and installation procedures; flushing and proper startup requirements; and hands-on pipe fusion technique. According to the manufacturer, only candidates who possess a basic understanding of heat pumps and ground loops should plan to attend.
