COURSE TITLE:Introduction to Hydronic Heating Installations

COURSE DESCRIPTION:The course is designed to assist the hydronic heating installer to interpret job-specific designs and incorporate best piping practices and control application. Participants will gain a basic knowledge of hydronic system fundamentals, including the concept of heat loss calculation. Also, students will take from this course basic knowledge of how the design relates to the installation and how to avoid the pitfalls that cause the installation to fail.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:Held at the Little Red Schoolhouse Education Center, students learn to employ pump selection principles, use the System Syzer in advanced calculations, identify the importance of control valve sizing in hydronic systems design, recognize the importance of proportional balance, compute flow requirements in primary-secondary systems for energy savings, and recognize the components of system pressure and apply the fundamentals of tank sizing.
