The Copeland transcritical CO2 scroll compressor is the latest addition to a comprehensive CO2 compression portfolio, which includes transcritical and subcritical semi-hermetics, subcritical scrolls, advanced controls and monitoring, variable frequency drives and system components to support a fully integrated CO2 booster system. 

Nidec recently acquired Xecom, a manufacturer of scroll compressors, and the move extends the Embraco brand's capabilities to the HVAC market while broadening its presence in the refrigeration segment.

ThermalWorks, Cloward H2O, and Jetson by Modine took top honors in the annual competition recognizing companies that use Danfoss products or solutions to realize significant energy or environmental savings.

CEO Ross Shuster called Copeland “the newest 100-year-old company in the HVAC industry.” After 37 years as part of Emerson, Copeland became a stand-alone company last year after Emerson reached a deal with an investment firm.

Emerson announced it has achieved 200 million Copeland compressor installations worldwide.

Danfoss has named Jae Chon, director of strategic markets at Chesapeake Systems, as its 12^th EnVisioneer of the Year for their work on retrofitting the Towson Courthouse in Towson, Maryland.

These compressors can also help OEMs meet seasonal and part-load efficiency standards, like the Department of Energy’s energy conservation regulations beginning in 2023.
