Distributor F.W. Webb Co. has opened a 143,000 square-foot store and warehouse in Central Islip, New York, and moved a suburban New Jersey store and warehouse into a larger location in a nearby town.
"Almost a 5% sales decline is a lousy start for the first meaningful month of cooling season, but it is not as weak as the headline," said Brian Loftus, senior market analyst at HARDI.
The awards from Friedrich Air Conditioning Co. and Fujitsu recognize distributors that demonstrate exceptional growth, strong partnerships, and commitment to supporting contractors.

A study that included a survey of more than 100 professionals finds distributors are prioritizing product availability and changing the ways they manage inventory.
