DOE will host a public meeting on October 18, 2016; 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. being held at the Navigant Offices, 1200 19th Street, Suite 700, N.W. Washington, DC.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a pre-publication Federal Register supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking (SNOPR) pertaining to test procedures for consumer and certain commercial water heaters (August 15, 2016).

The comment period has changed and closes September 26, 2016.

• DOE will host a public meeting on October 18, 2016; 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. being held at the Navigant Offices, 1200 19th Street, Suite 700, N.W. Washington, DC.

DOE is proposing to revise its test procedures for central air conditioners and heat pumps (CAC/HP). DOE published several proposals in a November 2015 supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking (SNOPR). 

DOE will host a public meeting on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm in Washington, DC. 

Comments submitted between the close of the original comment period (August 1, 2016) and the start of the reopening will be deemed timely filed and there is no need to resubmit.

HTS Texas, the Texas partner of one of the largest independent commercial HVAC manufacturers’ representative in North America, announced it is expanding its partnership with American Aldes to include the central and southeast Texas markets of Austin, San Antonio, and Houston.

Axiom Exergy announced it has raised $2.5 million from investors to assist in scaling its thermal energy storage solution in the grocery store and cold storage facility markets. Using its Refrigeration Battery, Axiom said supermarkets and food distribution centers can reduce their peak energy demand by up to 40 percent.
