American Residential Services has announced that nine of its ARS/Rescue Rooter Network service centers have earned the 2014 Angie’s List Super Service Award, reflecting an exemplary year of service provided to their local marketplace.

Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) announced that the company has created a two-way driver for Cool Automation’s CoolMasterNet and CooLinkNet universal HVAC bridges. The new control solution allows integration and communication with major HVAC systems based on VRV/VRF inverter technologies.

Spirax Sarco has announced its latest training event: Basic Steam Boiler Operator Training. The five-day course will be held June 8-12, 2015, at the company’s training facility in Blythewood, South Carolina, and will cover virtually all facets of steam boiler operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Incenergy LLC, an energy efficiency software and equipment manufacturer, and Joule Assets Inc., a provider of microcapital solutions for energy efficiency and demand response, have announced a new project finance partnership. Under the terms of the deal, Joule Assets will enable Incenergy to offer in-house financing to its clients.

ABB, Robert Bosch GmbH, and Cisco Systems Inc. have announced the formation of an international joint venture called mozaiq operations GmbH to develop and operate an open-software platform for smart homes. The companies said the platform will help to unify today’s stand-alone solutions for home automation. 

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released its seventh-annual list of the top 25 U.S. metropolitan areas with the most Energy Star certified buildings in 2014. This year, Washington, District of Columbia, debuted in the top spot with 480 buildings.
