International Comfort Products (ICP) recently honored two leading distributors as the ICP Commercial distributors of the year for excellence in customer support and sales growth. 

International Comfort Products (ICP) announced nine distributors have been named the Arcoaire^®, Comfortmaker^®, Day & Night^®, Heil^®, and Tempstar^® U.S. distributors of the year. 

Goettl Air Conditioning recently merged with Las Vegas Air and Paradise Air, adding more than 20 employees and 15 trucks. Las Vegas Air primarily serves residential customers while Paradise Air services the multi-family and rental home market.

The price increase reflects economic factors such as rising material costs, as well as market dynamics. The company makes products at competitive prices, maintaining quality and using innovative technology.

Robert Hennessy has been appointed to the role of chief commercial officer in charge of aligning sales strategies across all business units in the Americas, Tim Amburgey has been promoted from regional director of refrigerant sales to vice president of fire protection, Taylor Ferranti has been promoted from regional director of refrigerant sales to vice president of refrigerants, and Jon Stack has been promoted from vice president of carbon projects to vice president of environmental services.

The Electric & Gas Industries Association (EGIA), a nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to contractors’ success and the advancement of high-efficiency products and renewable energy, has officially launched a new educational program for contracting businesses called EGIA Contractor University. With a unique dollar-for-dollar education investment match from EGIA, a comprehensive blend of online and in-person educational programs and exclusive access to the contracting industry’s educators, EGIA Contractor University provides a fresh approach to the way ongoing education is being provided to contractors nationwide.

DMG North Inc. announced that they will be the exclusive representative of AAON Inc. throughout northern California beginning Jan. 1, 2017. The Bay Area and Sacramento sales offices are the latest locations to support the product line in addition to the Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Central Valley (Fresno area) offices. 

MISTRAS announced the acquisition of Condenser & Chiller Services Inc. (CCS). CCS is a nondestructive testing (NDT) inspection and complete heat exchanger service provider for commercial and industrial cooling and air conditioning applications. CCS subsidiary, California Finned Tube Company (Cal-Fin), a manufacturer and vendor of heat exchanger tubes, was included as part of the acquisition.

Programmatic accreditation is an independent third party review of an educational program. The process validates that that established standards of excellence for HVACR educational programs are met. These standards are designed to assure that our future workforce receives the quality of training required to provide the skills necessary for success in the HVACR industry.
