The Dealer Design Awards are judged by 20 contractors from across the U.S. who are active in the industry and have their collective fingers on the pulse of what’s happening. This year’s competition saw numerous themes across each category, as manufacturers shared the broad goals of making products smarter, more consistent, and innovative in new and unique ways. 

Fluke Corp.’s 902 FC True-RMS HVAC Clamp Meter is winner of the gold award in the 2016 DDA Testing & Monitoring Products category. The product is a wireless Fluke Connect-enabled meter that can document measurements, email results to customers, and collaborate with colleagues in real time directly from the job site. 

Mastercool Inc. invested more than 10 years of research and design into the Refrigeration Flaring and Swaging Tool, and that attention to detail helped the product bring home the gold in the Electronic and Hand Tools category of the 2016 Dealer Design Awards.

This portable LED light is mounted within an A-frame portable stand constructed from non-sparking aluminum and is powder-coated for durability and corrosion resistance. 

With a 1/8- to 1 3/8-inch tubing cutter, pen-style deburring tool, and this orbital flare kit, technicians have the tools to create quick and accurate flares. 

These pliers are designed for simple and reliable clamping of 1- and 2-ear clamps. Available in front-jaw, dual-front, and side-jaw options, the pliers are designed to not damage the press points on the ear clamps of a workpiece.

These systems are manufactured for 6- to 96-inch pipe diameters (150-2,440 mm) and are equipped with a QuickFit coupling for the purge/inflation hose. The QuickFit coupling is fitted with an O-ring for gas-tight sealing.

Capable of producing 800 lumens of output on its high mode, the flashlight can also cast a beam up to 375 yards in spot mode. In its low mode, it produces 325 lumens and offers run times up to seven hours. 

This portable LCR meter can measure inductance, capacitance, and resistance with 0.1 percent basic impedance accuracy.
