The Geothermal Exchange Organization (GEO) and the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) announced they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen and expand the complementary relationship between the two associations.

The board then unanimously voted to expand representation from seven to nine members; one GEO board seat is left open for new company participation.

The Envision 30-Ton Water-Source Heat Pump features a modular, take-apart design. The 30-ton unit can be moved into a building in two different sections, providing a reduced weight, smaller footprint, and improved maneuverability. 

The John Wayne Birthplace is the only museum dedicated to John Wayne and contains more than $2 million worth of artifacts. So far, the HVAC design has proven more than capable in terms of occupant comfort, sustainable operation, and protection of artifacts.

The agreement between Orca Energy and Carrier is part of Carrier’s renewed emphasis on geothermal heating and cooling solutions. 

The 30 percent federal tax credit for residential geothermal heating and cooling installations (as well as solar and wind) is set to expire at the end of 2016. This is an irrefutable fact, but everything else surrounding the tax credit remains in a state that is best described as limbo.

A new, national program from Carrier and Orca Energy, a leading geothermal utility provider, is designed to makes geothermal heating and cooling more accessible in new construction homes. Orca Energy will provide financing for geothermal earth loops in new residential developments with the purchase of a Carrier geothermal system.

Bosch Thermotechnology Corp., a division of Robert Bosch North America, announced that Oct. 20, 2015 is National Geothermal Day in recognition of the geothermal heating and cooling industry in the U.S. The recognition day comes as part of National Energy Month. 

Bosch Thermotechnology was recognized by President Barack Obama for its ongoing efforts to provide innovative, low-cost energy solutions across the building spectrum, and to include use of renewable technology solutions like geothermal heat pumps.
