American Flame Inc., in cooperation with CSA International, is voluntarily recalling approximately 12,000 fireplace gas valves in North America. The valves can continue to allow gas flow through the pilot when the valve has been switched to “OFF,” posing a fire or explosion hazard.

It may seem ironic that a green building event would generate waste, but Chicago’s Greenbuild 2007 did. However, Dan Bulley had the waste sorted so it could be recycled or composted.
