Emerson Survey Gauges Industry Readiness

Emerson Climate Technologies surveyed contractors and distributors in an effort to gauge the industry’s readiness for the 2010 refrigerant changeover deadline. According to the results, 40 percent said they would wait for the deadline to pass before they make any transitions.

DOE Passes New Heating Standards

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) approved new heating equipment standards for residential furnaces and boilers. The new standards increase the minimum natural gas furnace efficiency level to 80 percent as opposed to the current 78 percent AFUE.
