Johnson Controls Inc. recently completed construction on a new $6.7 million screw compressor testing laboratory at its Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, manufacturing plant. The 7,000-square-foot facility is one of the largest, most sophisticated testing laboratories in the screw compressor industry.
Designed for water-cooled chiller applications and built with Turbocor technology, the TT700 compressors are oil-free, variable-speed, magnetic-bearing centrifugal compressors that provide full- and part-load energy efficiency.

Torad Engineering LLC announced it has tested a new 40-ton spool compressor designed specifically for medium pressure refrigerants such as R-134a, as well as low and ultra-low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants like R-513A and HFO-1234yf.
