Frascold Opens United States Subsidiary
Frascold USA Inc. will support both the U.S. and Canadian markets
Frascold, the second largest manufacturer of semi-hermetic compressors in Europe and the third largest in the world, has opened a subsidiary company in the United States: Frascold USA Inc. Frascold USA will directly support both the U.S. and Canadian markets on behalf of Frascold. Frascold USA’s head office will be located in Seattle.
“Over the next three to five years, Frascold will invest heavily in the North American market in order to grow our presence and brand recognition,” the company said in a press release. “Multiple inventory locations throughout the U.S. and Canada will support customers with compressors and spare parts while both customer and engineering support will be available within the U.S. from a staff of seasoned technicians and engineers as well as a highly qualified sales team. This will enable us to provide quick delivery of product as well as customer support.”
Frascold manufactures a complete line of semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors with electric motors from 0.5 hp to 80 hp. Its semi-hermetic reciprocating line is available for applications with hydrocarbon refrigerants and HFOs. Frascold also offers a line of semi-hermetic compressors for transcritical and subcritical CO2 compressors, as well as a line of semi-hermetic refrigeration compressors, compact screw compressors (also available with built-in variable-frequency drives), open-drive screw compressors, and a new line of open-drive reciprocating compressors.
A total of 300 different models are available with refrigeration capacity up to 400 tons, covering a wide range of HVAC applications and refrigerants,
Frascold USA has signed a distribution and remanufacturing agreement with National Compressor Exchange. National Compressor Exchange will handle all service center and remanufacturing duties for North America and will stock Frascold compressors in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and Puerto Rico.
