No matter the type, properly designed, specified, installed, and maintained humidification systems can provide years of trouble-free operation. Taking a proactive approach to humidifier maintenance is the single best way to prevent operational issues and unscheduled humidification system shutdowns.

A customer was explaining what was going on with his air conditioning system. His old system had stopped working and he was told that it needed to be replaced. Money was tight and a cousin had a system removed from a rental property. So they replaced the original 3-ton package unit with a 4-ton package unit.

Bob and Tim had just finished a routine service call on a house with a gas furnace for the heating system. HVAC contractors are constantly seeking accurate, energy-efficient, year-round solutions to their customers’ humidification and dehumidification needs. A number of those solutions were on display at the 2016 AHR Expo in Orlando, Florida. 

Manufacturers are addressing this demand head-on by creating and adapting products that are accessible to both contractors and consumers with an eye toward digital displays and functions that can be updated and expanded in the years to come.

HVAC contractors admittedly face a difficult task when it comes to showcasing the benefits and inherent value present in structural moisture management while also ensuring customers know such solutions are more than just empty sales pitches.
