The Army Research Lab (ARL) is going through a series of programs to improve its energy efficiency. One step called for installing an onsite generator and using the waste heat to replace the boiler generated hot water. But the boiler was also producing steam to humidify some of the laboratory’s clean rooms.

New York High-Rise to Install Combined Cooling, Heating, and Power System

Tecogen Inc. announced that it has signed a contract with the Brevoort East, a luxury 323 unit high-rise co-op in Greenwich Village, N.Y., to provide a turnkey Tecogen combined cooling, heating, and power (CCHP) system. The system will deliver electricity, space heating, domestic hot water, and air conditioning to the building’s common areas.
