A new building at the Phoenix, Arizona, campus of National Technical Institute will house all plumbing and electrical classrooms and laboratories, while the HVAC and commercial refrigeration lab space in the existing building will be expanded.

A federal measure designed to improve IAQ, particularly in schools and child-care facilities, is winning support from HVAC industry trade groups. 

Twelve schools are the newest recipients of the Skills Lab equipment grants, which are projected to reach over 1,000 students this upcoming school year.

Upgrades at three buildings in the West Branch Local School District in Beloit, Ohio, are expected to save the district more than $200,000 a year in energy and operational costs.
