Juvenile Offenders Building Skills Program Provides Training in the Trades
December 24, 2014
The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) Juvenile Offenders Building Skills (JOBS) program’s latest graduation ceremony recognized the efforts of 15 students who completed training in HVAC and plumbing.
The course examines the economic analysis of ground-source equipment versus more traditional systems and what is necessary to design an effective and efficient ground-source system.
As technology continues to evolve at breakneck speed, many institutions are reporting difficulties keeping up with emerging technologies and software options.
The class will focus on product operation and application, servicing systems, tear-down analysis, refrigerant retrofits and rebuilding valves, interactive troubleshooting examples, CO2 applications, and an overview of components.
This new, self-paced, online course covers the unique operating characteristics of several wood-fired boilers and goes on to show several examples of complete systems for both residential and commercial/institutional applications.
