Rheem announced that it has acquired Heat Transfer Products Group (HTPG), Scottsboro, Ala., from Monomoy Capital Partners. Rheem is a manufacturer of heating, cooling, water heating, and pool/spa heating products. HTPG is a manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment for the foodservice, food retail, and other markets.

American Home Shield, one of the largest home warranty companies in the country, announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire HSA Home Warranty, a leading competitor. Company officials said they expect the sale to close within the next 30 to 60 days, and to create important expansion opportunities for both brands.
