Trend Toward Larger Solar Projects
November 17, 2002
The solar power industry in the United States once saw a number of 5-kW installations. It is now seeing a trend toward large projects in the range of 500 kW or greater.
One of the recently announced installations is a 520-kW solar power system at a wastewater treatment plant in Oroville, CA. Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. is installing a 501-kW system at its headquarters in Torrance, CA. The City of San Francisco is planning to install a 688-kW system at the Moscone Center, its convention center.
