The ToughGard®2 textile duct liner is designed to be used in most types of comfort heating and cooling duct systems. It is designed for systems operating at velocities up to 6,000 feet per minute and temperatures up to 250 degrees F. The thermal performance of the ToughGard2 exceeds that of the original ToughGard as well as all other competitive textile duct liner products, claims the company. The duct liner yields a cleaner cut, whether on a coil line machine or under a contractor's knife, the manufacturer says. Also, it produces less dust during fabrication and has better tensile strength, excellent recovery after compression, and easier adhesion to metal, the company states.
