The Echelonâ„¢ line of furnaces includes the variable-speed V Series. The furnaces feature convertible upflow, horizontal, and downflow configurations. In addition, they offer advanced diagnostics for ease of installation and serviceability, says the manufacturer. The 8.V (80-percent AFUE) and 9.V (92-percent to 94-percent AFUE) Echelon variable-speed furnaces each are equipped with EcoTrakâ„¢, an electronically commutated motor (ECM). Unlike standard blower motors, the ECM offers nearly continuous, gradual fan speed operation, resulting in more energy-efficient operation, effective humidity control, reduced sound levels, and improved indoor air quality, states the company.
