Home » National Oilheat Research Alliance: Training Videos
Four training videos cover the topics of no-heat calls, tuneups, heating oil delivery, and heating oil storage and handling. The titles, some of which are available on DVD, include "How to Respond to a No Heat Call," "The Proper Way to Tune Up an Oilheat System," "Fuel Oil Delivery," and "Heating Oil & Our Environment." The technicians who view the "How to Respond to a No Heat Call" and "The Proper Way to Tune Up an Oilheat System" are eligible to receive continuing education credits from the association toward silver or gold accreditation under the association's technician certification program, the organization says. A self-administered exam must be completed and submitted to the association's Education Center. Drivers and related fuel handling personnel who view both "Fuel Oil Delivery" and "Heating Oil & Our Environment," and pass and return the accompanying short exam, will receive a certificate of recognition, states the association.
