Now available are seamer tongs made of hot drop-forged moly alloy steel. The tongs are designed to bend and form metals. Also, they can grip and hold metal sections or panels in place while the sections or panels are being joined. Two models are available; one has straight handles and the other has curved handles. Both models have 3-inch- (76mm-) wide blades and a throat capacity of 1-1/8 inches (29mm). The two blades have raised ribs in 1/4-inch (6.35-mm) increments on their outer surfaces. The one-piece handle and blade forgings feature massive pivot point areas, which use a tubular hinge pin for smooth, precise opening and closing, states the company.
