PHOENIX - The Arizona Chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA Arizona) will host a seminar, "Underfloor Air Distribution (UFAD) Systems: Design Issues, Principles, and Practices." The event will take place in Phoenix at the Crowne Plaza North Phoenix on Feb. 18, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sponsored by the National Energy Management Institute (NEMI) and the Testing, Adjusting and Balancing Bureau (TABB), the seminar will offer information regarding the advantages and disadvantages of UFAD systems and Conventional Air Distribution (CAD) systems. It will explore protocol that can be used to evaluate the appropriateness of UFAD systems for specific projects, and will provide an opportunity to practice evaluating a UFAD system for an example floor plate.

The seminar is free to architects, engineers, and SMACNA contractors. For more information, call 602-734-0214 or visit www.smacna-az.org.
