Trane, an American Standard Co.: Rooftop Unit Dehumidifier
June 19, 2004
The Precedentâ„¢ convertible packaged rooftop line has dehumidification through hot gas reheat as a new option. The system senses and controls both space humidity and temperature independently. The system operates conventionally when there is a demand for cooling without dehumidification. The company says that on humid days, the hot gas reheat system will remove unwanted moisture from the air. According to the manufacturer, this option is designed specifically for buildings that require tight climate control, and that it is an ideal choice for dehumidifying air in retail outlets, restaurants, schools, warehouses, fitness centers, and recreation facilities.
