The E7 18-Pulse drive system (25-500 hp) is designed specifically for HVAC applications that require low total harmonic distortion (THD). The drive's design limits the THD at the drive input terminals to less than 8-percent current distortion and less than 3-percent voltage distortion, the company says. Embedded in the drive are communications for the building automation protocols Johnson Controls Metasys® N2, Siemens Apogee™ FLN, and Modbus; an optional LonWorks® interface card is available. A built-in LCD keypad includes hand/off/auto functions, a copy feature, seven language choices, and five lines of display.
