Yaskawa Electric America, Inc.
Yaskawa Electric America, Inc. (Waukegan, IL) and Saftronics Inc. (Ft. Myers, FL) announced an agreement to discontinue their brand-label arrangement after which Saftronics will continue to conditionally access and sell the Yaskawa current line of variable-frequency drives into 2002. At the conclusion of the phase-out period, Yaskawa will supply products to Saftronics under the Yaskawa brand name and Saftronics will continue to service and support the Yaskawa product line and provide spare parts via its national network of system integration centers.
