The Rheem Prestige Series 16-SEER condensing unit is rated up to 16.8 SEER and uses R-22. It is equipped with an Emerson Climate Technologies Comfort Alertâ„¢ onboard diagnostics system, which detects system and electrical problems, allowing contractors to more accurately diagnose malfunctions in less time, the manufacturer says. The diagnostics system monitors vital operating data from the Copeland Scroll compressor and the White-Rodgers programmable thermostat to pinpoint quickly the root cause for less-than-nominal operation, the company states. On-demand dehumidification and optional humidistat contribute to ultimate comfort, says the company.
