The ACH550 drive has a built-in Maintenance Assistant, which makes drive and driven-equipment care easier than before, says the manufacturer. The assistant helps users schedule maintenance of the drive and its associated equipment in stand-alone applications where no building management system is installed, the company states. The device can prompt users to perform a maintenance task within specific time intervals or when equipment fails to meet performance criteria. Also, it can keep track of bearing and drive belt replacement intervals, as well as lubrication and packing intervals for the driven equipment, either by monitoring the motor running hours or the number of motor revolutions.
