COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus State Community College and the Central Ohio Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) chapter have joined together to present a two credit hour college course designed to provide better understanding of carbon monoxide and the prevention of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Topics of the course (HAC299-72165) include:
Properties of fuels;
Combustion process;
Correct combustion air and venting requirements;
Safe and clean operation of carbon-based fuels; and
Prevention and detection.
The class will run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays from February 17 to March 19. The cost is approximately $150-$175. Interested parties can register in person or online at www.cscc.edu. For more information, call Richard Wirtz at 614-287-2657.
