The 4900 Series scrubber system separator is designed to remove air and dirt in hydronic systems. Series 4900-A Models clean the system of air and micro bubbles. Series 4900-AD Models remove both air and dirt from hydronic heating systems or chilled water systems and have been designed with an enlarged bottom on each separator to provide a nonturbulent zone for effective particle removal, the company says. According to the manufacturer, both models should be installed in a system immediately before the centrifugal pumps so that large air bubbles and system impurities are removed before they can damage the pumps.
