LANHAM, Md. - John Dunleavy was recently installed as the 2004 president of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Metropolitan Washington (MCAMW).

Since joining Pierce Associates Inc. (Alexandria, Va.) in 1996, Dunleavy has been active in the affairs of MCAMW. He has served as a member of the board of directors since 2000 and has been a CAUSE trustee since 2001. Starting in 1999, he has served as a trustee of the Industry Fund and a member of the Education Committee. He also served for a period as a trustee on the Steamfitters Medical and Pension Funds.

Dunleavy has also been active in the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA). He was a founding member of the Career Development Committee and has testified before the U.S. Congress on behalf of the association.

Other elected officers of MCAMW include: president elect, Chris Kelly of Kelly HVAC Inc. (Upper Marlboro, Md.) and secretary-treasurer, Mark Cronin of Paramount Mechanical Corporation (Manassas, Va.). Additional officers of the board include: immediate past president, Sean Duffy of Duffy Mechanical Corporation (Upper Marlboro, Md.), Matt Hahr of John J. Kirklin Inc. (Rockville, Md.), and Pat Tonger of Welch & Rushe Inc. (Capitol Heights, Md.).

Newly elected to the board of directors are: Carey Dove of M&M Welding & Fabricators (Gaithersburg, Md.) and Bob Emenecker of AMS of Maryland Inc. (Laurel, Md.).
