The HVAC Simulator is an interactive computer simulation of an air conditioning system. The system can be configured different ways by changing the sort of compressor or metering device or the system tonnage. Ambient conditions and system operating parameters can be changed, and the effects on system temperatures, pressures, efficiencies, refrigerant states, and power consumption can be observed, recorded, and compared. System responses can be shown and printed using graphing and data tables. A student workbook containing exercises is included. Two free simulated interactive service calls test a student's ability to diagnose and correct mechanical and electrical circuit malfunctions.
