The Model SP-200 in-duct air purifier uses a MERV 11 filter designed to remove allergens such as mold spores, pollen, and dust, eliminating up to about 95% of microscopic airborne particles, the manufacturer states. The purifier’s UV light kills airborne viruses and bacteria, says the company. The electronic display panel lights up 30 days ahead of time of when filters and the UV lamp need replacing. According to the company, the patented unit can provide hospital-quality air to residences that use a 1-1/2- to 5-ton system.
