DES PLAINES, IL — The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) recently received a final donation from the now-defunct National Refrigeration Contractors Association (NRCA).

After more than 50 years serving commercial refrigeration sales professionals in the Philadelphia area, NRCA’s board of directors decided to dissolve the organization in the face of declining membership. The balance of NRCA’s funds after all dissolution actions was sent to RSES in the interest of continuing to improve and educate the industry.

“NRCA has long been an advocate of RSES,” said NRCA director Elizabeth B. Franks. “We sincerely hope they will use the fund to continue their efforts.”

“While we are saddened to hear of an organization with interests similar to ours ceasing to exist, we are very grateful they chose us to carry on in the spirit of their members,” said RSES executive vice president Robb E. Isaacs, CMS. “At a time when the industry needs education and training for service contractors and technicians alike, we need all the support that’s available.”
