These new reduced-capacity pressure relief valves — H5600R (1/2 by 3/4 in.) and H5602R (3/4 by 1 in.) — are designed to safely and dependably deliver over-pressure relief to a range of vessels in industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, says the manufacturer. They can be placed in halocarbon service when rupture discs are used. The valves have approximately one-third the capacity of the com-pany’s H5600 Series valves. They can provide significant cost savings by decreasing the line sizes of the relief valve discharge piping, the company says.
