HVAConline Partners with ACCA

EBT Express Launched in Toronto

TORONTO, ON, Canada — A $7.7 million joint venture between Toronto Hydro Corporation and Ontario Power Generation (OPG) was launched this fall. EBT Express, abbreviated for electronic business transaction, is a “new breed” of e-commerce powered by Internet technology.

According to EBT Express, this venture “will be the first of its kind in North America to provide centralized electronic data manage-ment and transaction services to local distribution companies and energy retailers when Ontario’s new competitive electricity market opens next year.”
