PORTLAND, ME — Energy Data Corp., which says it is the first licensed credit reporting agency operated exclusively for the retail heating fuel business, has introduced Fuelcredit.com, a credit-reporting tool for fuel dealers.

Chris Brown, president of Energy Data, said, “The goal of this product is to make it easier for fuel dealers to reduce the number of delinquent customer accounts on their books. If every fuel dealer uses this product consistently, they can effectively become a ‘Dealer Alliance’ to drastically reduce delinquent accounts.

“This is effectively a legal way for fuel dealers to exchange lists of delinquent customers.”
