The DR Series of steam and hot-water boilers ranges from 6 to 25 bhp. The units are available in forced-draft gas, oil, or dual fuel-fired models. The series incorporates all of the basic features of the company’s larger size (500 bhp) flexible water tube boilers, as well as other features. These boilers make use of a tube configuration similar to the company’s AB and RV Series, which provides for a water-cooled combustion chamber and stimulates heat transfer and higher efficiency, says the manufacturer. The largest boiler in the series is 33-7/8 in. wide, allowing it to fit through most standard doorways. According to the manufacturer, the removable/replaceable tubes require only 24 in. from one side for maintenance access.
