The redesigned Mod-Max NEMA-frame, vertical WP-1 cast iron motor operates at cooler temperatures and higher altitudes with minimal noise and significantly improved mechanical flexibility, says the company. The motor’s new canopy cap does not need a gasket and has three standoffs to allow air circulation to help prevent moisture condensation. According to the manufacturer, this unit may be applied to variable-frequency drive installations, as it meets NEMA Part 31 standards. The unit features the ALLGUARD® Motor Quality System.
