The Auto-Purger®M for halocarbon refrigeration systems is an auto-matic, electronically controlled, noncondensible gas refrigerant purger. Its electronic “brain” searches for noncondensible gases (air) in the system and purges at those points when air is present, says the company. The unit reduces condensing pressure, thereby saving electrical energy used by the refrigeration system, the company says. Up to four purge points can be controlled in a system up to 200 tons (700 kW). The purger is suitable for use with R-22, -134a, -404A, -507, and other approved refrigerants.
