Hansen Technologies Corp.: REFRIGERANT LEVEL
This new refrigerant level pulse control system (LPS) is a pulse-width-modulating system that modulates the flow of liquid refrigerant to control liquid level in response to system load requirements. The unit provides a regulated supply of makeup liquid, thereby minimizing fluctuations in vessel pressure, says the company. Stable vessel pressures are more energy efficient, reducing unnecessary compressor running time and refrigerant pump cavitation, the company says. Applications include liquid refrigerant feed to pump recirculator packages, receivers, intercoolers, and others.
