Bell & Gossett, a unit of ITT Industries: FLOW CONTROL VALVE

The Hydrotrol™ is a new flow control valve designed to meet the demands of today’s advanced hydronic heating systems, the company says. Preventing gravity circulation that leads to overheating of zones in hydronic systems, the valve allows for summer-winter operation of an indirect water heater, says the manufacturer. The compact valve allows fluid to pass when the system or zone pumps start. When the pumps are not operating, the valve remains closed, effectively preventing zones (rooms) from overheating due to gravity circulation, says the company.
