Tests conducted in accordance with ASHRAE standards have shown that the glass microfiber filtering media used in the company’s General-Aire air cleaners capture 97% by weight of airborne particles ranging from 2,500 down to 0.01 microns in size, says the company. And with up to 78 sq ft of filtering media, the air cleaners are among the largest dust-holding-capacity units available, the company says. To further improve air quality, they can be used together with an air purifier. The AC-2 air purifier uses activated carbon pellets. The Model AC-3 is a combination unit.
